UAE-based Aries group of companies’ BizTV wing has taken over the management of Vismayas Max Studios, Kerala’s first DTS studio set up by the popular Malyalam actor Mohanlal, according to a press release. Financial details of the transaction remained undisclosed.
Following the merger, the company will be known as “Aries-Vismayas Max” and will become the largest film and TV studio network in South India. The merger is expected to open the doors of International movie/TV/advertisement market to the India film /media community.
Vismayas Max is headquartered in Trivandrum and has a branch at Cochin. The studio, with animation, pre and post production works, has catered to over hundred Indian movies in various languages.
BizTV Network of Aries group of companies is owned by Sohan Roy. The division is a well-known media company with three 3D movies, and two Global TV channels and hundreds of international advertisements, along with 20 Oscars qualification credits to it.
“Through Aries-Vismayas Max project we are opening the doors of international movie/TV/advertisement market to the India film /media community. There’s a long a way to go,” Roy said in the statement.
Aries has a wide branch network across the world. Sohan Roy, for his part, alongside the interests in maritime industry, visual media and film production, is also the co-producer and project designer of director Rupesh Paul’s international project ‘Kamasutra 3D’.
Mohanlal will continue as the brand ambassador of ‘Aries-Vismayas Max’.
