PE-controlled Aricent Technologies (formerly known as Flextronics Software) has announced Sudip Nandy as its Chief Executive Oficer. Aricent’s former CEO Ash Bhardwaj has resigned to pursue other interests. The ex-Wipro veteran Nandy will also be appointed to the Board of Directors upon his arrival in October.
Aricent is a technology and outsourcing company focused exclusively on the communications industry. At Wipro, Nandy was the head of Technology Media and Telecom Business Unit which generated revenues of $1.3 billion, more than a quarter of Wipro’s revenues.
At Wipro Nandy also headed the IT giants “necklace of pearls” acquisition strategy in which he completed nine M&A and two JV transactions
“There is a fundamental shift happening in the communications industry as equipment manufacturers and service providers look for more innovation and deeper domain expertise from their strategic suppliers,” said Sudip Nandy in a release.
Aricent’s investors include leading firms Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (‘KKR’), Sequoia Capital, Flextronics International Ltd and The Family Office.
