Angel, seed deals dominate this week; most M&As were local

Angel and seed investments made up for 13 of the 19 companies that were funded during the week, according to VCCEdge, the data research platform of VCCircle. The M&A space saw two big- ticket deals–China's Fosun Group acquiring a majority stake in Hyderabad-based Gland Pharma for $1.26 billion and Flipkart-owned Myntra purchasing online fashion marketplace Jabong for $70 million.
