Amarchand Mangaldas Mumbai has hired Valerie Bowles for the newly created post of chief operating officer (COO) in the company, reports Legally India. She is assigned to create a 10-day-plan to improve internal management at the firm.

Mumbai managing partner Cyril Shroff said that the firms entire support function and back office requires much focused attention from professional managers. Valerie was the CEO and COO of the UK firm Langleys. Prior to working at Langley's, Bowles had worked at UK regional firms FBC Manby Bowdler, Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and Australian firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques in similar operational management roles.  

Amarchand Mangaldas is one of India's largest law firms offering services in all areas of corporate and commercial law.
