AGC Networks acquires part of Transcend United Technologies

AGC Networks Ltd has acquired a part of the business of US-based Transcend United Technologies for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition involves business of technology integration focused on unified communications, data centre infrastructure and managed services, as per a market disclosure.

This acquisition will offer AGC Networks a wide footprint in North America.

Transcend United Technologies is a solution provider and technology integrator focused on unified communications, data centre infrastructure and managed services. Transcend maintains its offices across east coast, Mid-West and Central US, with annual revenue of around $43 million. It has 130 employees.

Founded in 2007, Transcend United Technologies currently operates in nine states -- Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida, Minnesota, Illinois, California, Ohio and Texas.

Gurgaon-based AGC Networks Ltd (formerly Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd) provides enterprise communication solutions and offers converged voice, data and video networks to contact centre solutions.

The firm's customers are spread across the verticals such as banking, financial Services and insurance, government, PSUs defence, healthcare, travel and hospitality, IT / ITes, manufacturing, energy and utilities. AGC Networks Ltd is a subsidiary of Aegis Ltd, which in turn is part of Essar Group.

This is the second overseas acquisition by the company. In October 2011, the firm had acquired New Zealand-based Aegis New Zealand Ltd for $2.44 million.
