ADI BPO Raises Stake In Public-listed MPS to 76.3% Via Open Offer

New Delhi’s ADI BPO Services Pvt Ltd has increased its stake in Chennai-based MPS Ltd to 76.3 per cent, according to a company disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange. ADI BPO picked up an additional 14.9 per cent stake via open offer for Rs 9.21 crore, the statement said.

In October 2011, the Delhi firm acquired 61.46 per cent in MPS from the UK-based HM Publishers Holdings Ltd for Rs 37.4 crore.

Shares of MPS last traded at Rs 33.70 a unit, down 0.30 per cent from the previous close in a flat Mumbai market on Monday.

Incorporated in 1982, Bangalore-headquartered MPS Ltd (formerly Macmillan India Ltd) provides typesetting and data digitisation services for publishers in India, Europe and the USA. The company also provides BPO solutions, including subscription management, journal, magazine & book distribution, content aggregation & data mining and customer services.

Founded in 2006, New Delhi-based ADI BPO (formerly ADI Publishing Services) provides call centre services to the domestic market from its facilities in Dehradun and Noida. The company operates a 2,000-seat facility in Dehradun and a 400-seat infrastructure in Noida, and its key clients include operators in the telecom and DTH markets.
