Eventila Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs artificial intelligence-based business photography firm Spyne, on Wednesday said it has acquired photography service provider Travographer for an undisclosed sum.  

Spyne, which counts Accel, Storm Ventures, Angellist, Smile Group, Pentathlon Ventures and Core91 among its backers, plans to onboard over 100 employees across technology, marketing, and sales in the next quarter, it said in a statement.  

The Gurugram-based company further said that with the acquisition it has roped in over 20 talents and aims to expand its real estate footprint.

Founded in 2018 by Sanjay Kumar and Deepti Prasad, Spyne is helping large e-commerce marketplaces and retail businesses create high-quality product visuals at scale with AI.   

Currently, the company serves over 80 customers including Amazon India, Flipkart, Karvi, OLACars and SellAnyCar, among others across 15 countries.   

Travographer, established in 2017, is a photography service provider in the real estate sector across the globe. The platform has renowned brands such as OYO, Belvilla, Makemytrip,Goibibo,Stanza Living, Zolo Stays, Fab Hotels, Lemon Tree hotels, Club Mahindra, Sterling Holidays and Taj Hotels, among others.

“By getting Travographer’s team and experience, we are hoping to strengthen our services and increase value for the customers. This acquisition has further strengthened our business commitments. As our next step, we now have plans to launch the AI-App based shoot offerings in the real estate sector,” said Sanjay Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO at Spyne.  

“To move forward with our growth plan, we intend to recruit over 100 people in the next one quarter. We are also setting up a state-of-the-art computer vision lab for deeper r&d in space and further intend to expand our technological horizons into the field of AR / VR to build products for metaverse and Oomniverse,” said Deepti Prasad, Co-Founder, Spyne.

In 2020, Spyne raised funding as part of its pre-Series A round led by AngelList, with participation from the Smile Group.
