Exclusive: PE-backed ReNew Power buying two wind power projects

ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd, floated by former investment banker and Suzlon COO Sumant Sinha, is acquiring two wind power projects in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat as it moves beyond the organic growth strategy it has followed thus far. The Gurgaon-based company, which hit a milestone of achieving 1 GW of installed renewable energy capacity early this year, has struck two separate deals, a person privy to the development told VCCircle.
