This year the event will focus on opportunity in rural India and how to tap this huge market segment.

The Indus Entrepreneurs and Indian School of Business will hold TiE-ISB Connect '08, an annual networking event for entrepreneurs and investors, on November 5th, 6th and 7th at the ISB campus in Hyderabad. This year the event will focus on opportunity in rural India and how to tap this huge market segment. 

Over the last 3 years the event attracted over 1000 business plans and over 50 Venture Capitalists representing the core and sunrise industries. Last year, about 13 companies secured funding.

The event will kick off with a session discussing the "Next 800 Million Opportunity". Then there will also be sessions discussing agriculture, manufacturing, retail, infrastructure, among others. The key note speech will be given by Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC.

TiE-ISB Connect will have a business plan event, which would enable interaction of aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage ventures, and growth-stage ventures with potential investors, successful entrepreneurs and mentors. Last years TiE-ISB saw participation from funds like DFJ, Sequoia, Clearstone, Erasmic, Helion, NEA-IndoUS, VentureEast, Seedfund, Lightspeed Venture Partners.
