Harshal Shah CEO Of Reliance Technology Ventures; To Incubate Tech Startups

Harshal J. Shah has been appointed as the CEO of Reliance Technology Ventures Ltd, a venture capital fund from the stable of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. RTVL has a mandate to incubate "new business ideas" and invest in "emerging and high-growth technologies". It will invest in technology, media and telecom (TMT) companies in various stages of their lifecycle. "The focus is both - on established and new technologies - that advance the computing, communications, media & convergence platforms," a release said.

Shah was a Vice President at Reliance Capital, and prior to that was at IBM and Accenture. He was instrumental in Reliance Capital's investments into online travel portal Yatra, Seedfund, besides an undisclosed investment. He serves on the boards of Yatra, Telsima Corporation, Setco Automotive and Reliance Venture Asset Management.

Shah was a Truman Gray Scholar at MIT, and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
