Lauris Capital Partners Forms $50 Million Micro Buyout Fund

Lauris Capital Partners, a buyout firm backed by France's Natixis Private Equity, is about to kick off its buyout activities in India with a fund of $50 million. The firm will be looking at buyout deals in middle market and small scale sectors, and will take a minimum of 51 per cent stake, reports Mint. The Hong Kong based Harsh Sabale is the founder and head of Lauris Capital. He was earlier a director with Malaysian private equity fund Navis Capital Partners.
Natixis Private Equity is a firm focused on small and mid-sized companies in France (up to €100 million in revenues). With €2.5 billion under management, it is also a major player in Europe and an increasingly in the fast-growing markets of Asia, South America and India. It already has an investment in Bangalore based mid-stage private equity fund Zephyr Peacock. Its Italian arm Cape Natixis has also recently opened shop in India.
