Reliance Entertainment Buys Pune's Anirights Infomedia

Reliance Entertainment, part of Anil Ambani's Reliance ADA Group, has acquired Pune-based animation studio Anirights Infomedia for an undisclosed sum, reports The Economic Times. The acquisition is part of Reliance Entertainment's plans to get into the entire value chain of the entertainment business.
The group already owns Adlabs, a film exhibitor as well as producer, besides FM radio business (Big FM). The group also has presence in the Internet through social networking site BigAdda.com, gaming portal Zapak. Animation is another high growth business which is expected to touch $869 million by 2010 from $356-400 million currently.
