Sify Becomes Sify Technologies; Focus On Remote Infrastructure Management

Indian internet company Sify Ltd wants to position itself as a technology company (read remote infrastructure management). The Chennai-headquartered firm has renamed itself as Sify Technologies Ltd. The name change has got approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. According to a company release, the name change is in "line with the company’s strategy to position itself as a technology company with deep expertise in IT infrastructure management".
Raju Vegesna, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of Sify, said, “Sify is a leader in internet and network services...We are also rapidly growing our remote infrastructure management services overseas..."
