Migrating To Wordpress; New Design

VC Circle has migrated to Wordpress platform. We had been using Blogware of Tucows till now, but it has been very limiting in terms of functionality. Besides, Blogware has been experiencing several bugs making it impossible to continue with that service.
We, therefore, decided to move to Wordpress. We are also working on a new design, which will be visible soon. (Currently, some of you might be seeing the default theme).
One important thing, all comments that have been migrated from the old platform would appear as anonymous comments. Apologies to all 1200-odd commenters on the site. Tucows didn't have a solution to this problem. The good news is at least the comments are migrated. However, some of the latest comments may not appear due to some technical snags. Let's hope everything turns out well. Thanks for your patience.

Nikhil,

Hey Sahad, I like the spiffy new design, though I don't really like that "continue reading" bit. Would prefer entire posts to be readable, however long.

Vijay Veerachandran,

Hi Sahad,

While the news site follow in the likes of VC people "Venturebeat". I would recommend you highlghting or playing with different colors so that the content gets more attraction. I love techcrunch.com for its unique color combinations which focuses on content.

Sahad,

Thanks everyone for your inputs. It looks the site is appearing in different shapes in different resolutions. On certain computers the content column looks too narrow.
We will nail that soon.
We will make it as reader friendly as well as aesthetically appealing.

Reena,

Hi,

I am a regular reader of the content of your site. I have liked the new look as it tends to be lot more clearer. If the Archives and Categories can be converted into a drop-down list type, nothing great than that.

But overall its an appealing change.

Thanks

Jatin Chawla,

Sahad,

The old layout was definitely better. Although the fonts on this are larger, the earlier layout was easier to read. Maybe because the content was in the centre. Also, the recent articles link was better organized on that one.

This could be a case of readers like me finding it difficult to adjust to the new layout because we had got so used to the older one. I am sure the final design will be excellent and everybody would love it once they get used to it.

Regards,
Jatin

Venkatesh,

The earlier version was much better, easier to read and slicker. Please take our views into account, while finalising your design.

Kris Nair,

Sahad,
the old one was better :(

Or I belive u need to get this Wordpress theme fixed, Some inspiration from VentureBeat.com or alikes.

This look gives a feeling of Garage Pass-time blogger look which ur not. Please consider this feedback and look for a better design!

Yup! Content is the King, but Design is Queen!

Regards
Kris

sujith,

Hi,
