Mohan Kharbanda Joins As EIR At Baird Private Equity

Former Apple Computers and Dell executive in India, Mohan Kharbanda, has joined a US private equity firm, Baird Private Equity. Kharbanda has joined as an entrepreneur-in-residence at the firm’s venture fund division Baird Venture Partners. He will also serve as a member of the business services advisory board for the buyout fund Baird Capital Partners. At both funds, Kharbanda will help evaluate new investment opportunities and contribute value-added operating experience to portfolio companies, particularly related to potential expansion opportunities in India, according to a report.

Kharbanda had earlier worked at Apple, as a vice president, focused on establishing offshore operations in India and Eastern Europe. Prior to Apple, Kharbanda was vice president and managing director of Dell International Services, where he was responsible for establishing Dell’s India operations.

Baird Private Equity had recently announced a strategic partnership with Tholons Inc. The partnership was to explore business opportunities in India for Baird’s portfolio companies.
