NEA Indo-US Ventures To Focus On Early Stage Tech, Mobile

Kamla Bhatt Show has a podcast interview with Kittu Kolluri, a General Partner with New Enterprise Associates, a 28-year old US venture capital fund. It has $9.5 billion under management, and recently created news as they raised a $2.5 billion venture fund, the second largest ever venture fund to be raised. NEA is floating an India fund soon - NEA Indo-US Ventures - which will be led by Vani Kola and Vinod Dham.

Kolluri says Dham and Kola will essentially look at early stage tech ventures in India - and all other opportunities which do not fall in this framework would be directly looked at by NEA for investment. Kolluri is very excited about mobile space since India story currently is mobile story. India adds about 4-6 million users every month and the country has already crossed 116 million users. There is enough room to grow more and that is one sector exciting everybody now.

www.neaiuv.com would get you there. It's a completely different company; NEA has invested in this company however.

Well does anyone have any idea as to how Vinod Dham/Vani Kola could be contacted? Even Mr. Dham's New Path Ventures phone numbers from his website seem to have changed. Any info post in this regard would be much appreciated.

,

I hear NEA is also aggressively looking at healthcare investments and is planning to enter in a big way. Any info?

,

I think NEA Indo-US Venture Fund is a separate fund. Vinod Dham and Vani Kola are in it as individuals as far as I know.

,

NEA site does not list Vinod Dham and Vani Kola yet. Is this a partnership with Vinod Dham's fund NewPath Ventures?

,

i don't think they have one yet...as of now NEA site would do the needful I guess.

,

Is there a website for NEA INdo-Us Ventures?
